    My Screaming P51

Iv been running my FMS 1450 mm P-51 with a Stock motor, 85 AMP ESC (the one from the FMS 1700 mm series), and a 6S 3000. This is my main flyer plane for over a year and probably have well over 100 flights on this set up. This thing tears up the sky with this set up.

I also have my FW 190 flying the same set up. (but with a 4 blade prop)

Shot from today at my club, perfect day for flying, temps in the upper 70's no humidity and just a slight breeze! Oh and not a cloud in the sky!

Dragon, I remember MRC putting out a notice saying that the motor and/or ESC can't handle a 5s set up. Are you saying that your stock motor has lasted over a year on 6s? If so, that is outstanding. That thing really moves. Any problems we need to be aware of before we put in an 85 amp ESC and run 6s?

I have been running the 6S for some time now. I started with all stock stuff and the 5S and no issues. then I swapped out an ESC from the 1700 class FMS planes and no issues. I also run my FW190 the same way. I swapped out to the lower p51 KV motor but im 4 months in flying it like the p51 (p51 nose and 4 blade prop w/ prop mod.) and no issues. I did try the 6S 3000 with the stock ESC but even for me (who over volts everything) I didn't feel comfortable. I also run my 1700mm class FMS on 6,8,10, and 12 S . they also have bigger ESCs but I like that I can really run any combo of batteries  I have left for the day. Like if I tear up my 700 heli early in the day, then the big P47 is going to be running mostly 12 S that day. But yea, over a year and a half running  6S and no issues. I recommend the bigger FMS esc or spending 25 buck picking of a cheap 100 Amp Esc. off amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s00 I run my dynam ME-262 6S 4000 with these ESCs) For me 6S on the p51 has been no issue at all.

Here's a video of my favorite place to fly.  Located on high ground, nice grass and mat runways. Shelter to be out of the sun.

Okay, so Lon, how do you get three P51s in that rig of yours, this I would like to see.  You've got to be peeling wings off, right?

Gman, I'll have to take a picture to let you see.  I have a Chevy Traverse and fold down the 3rd and 2nd row seats. Then there is a one, and only way I can get the 1410mm P51, 1400mm Pandora, and two 1100mm Mustangs. The key to it, is I put the IronAss on my homemade stand upside down, which gives me space for wings of the other planes to slide under it's wings. Kind of a double decking overlap.  And yes, I do not have to take any planes apart.
Most the time when I go to the field for the day. I only take 3 planes, which allows me to then take a Honda generator for power to charge batteries. And of course then, the ammo can with batteries, and field box of tools and stuff. Next time I do a all day load up, i'll take a couple pictures.
Just got back from a 4 hour flight outing. Took the Iron Ass, Old Crow and Pandora. 10-15 mph winds gusty. 5 flights with the Iron Ass. 4 with the Old Crow. And one with the Pandora, so it wouldn't feel left out....

Nice flight Lon. I agree with Flygirl...nice flying areas you have. Here in the Dallas area there's no such thing anymore. It's become a "Concrete City".

Here's a flight from tonight. Seen a resident working on his yard. Stopped and asked permission to fly from his yard.
As you will see......A "Nice" area.

Now you have a new flying spot and a great new friend! Great job Lon, thanks for sharing. Nice flight too.

As soon as we get some favorable winds here in N. Texas I'll post some more vids too. Making me extremely jealous!  :D

Fun view you don't see everyday. I didn't do any inverted passes since the Mobius wasn't secured very well and I didn't want it to slide around. This is the Freewing 90mm T-45, stock. Lands so slowly that it only takes 2.5 seconds from touchdown to turnaround.
