  • Flyzone Beaver

I have two Flyzone Beavers, one I fly regularly from our club's grass field and on snow in the winter.  This one I fly floats only, so it doesn't get as much air time.  It has been over a year since I flew this Beaver and I had almost forgotten how great it is on water!
I think the Flyzone Beaver is one of the most underrated foamies on the market.

This is "CAP Beaver" by James Butler on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

    Nice video!

And I totally agree, I love flying mine, it's become the go to for whenever I want some hassle free flying!

I also have 2 Beavers. I keep one in the camper at the lake. The other has the tundra tires and I swap them out for snow skis in the winter. Flying off snow is just as fun as flying off water!
I really like your paint scheme. (gives me project ideas for this winter)

I noticed in your video that the screw holding the wing strut to the wing appears to be loose? Might want to check that

Yeah, I noticed the screw also, checked and tightened, the one on the other side was the same way.

A friend flying with me today got some nice stills.
What a great day of flying this plane makes.

Some of our younger members might not have caught that reference! Hope all is well out your way and your flying is going well.

                    Greetings Loneflier,

Yeah, that one might have done a fly-by on a few.......

Now, that school in back in full swing, it has really chewed into my flying time.
Seems like I hardly get to go out much lately. My only salvation is in hoping for a few good Saturday's.

I'm thinking towards the end of July. Reason I'm saying, I purchased mine 3rd week of July. and days after I purchased mine, I noticed they was out of stock.

That's a beautiful plane Jim... I need to repaint mine over the winter. The Island Wings version paint is okay but it really begs for something cooler.

Flygirl, Why not design your own Alaska flying service ? Trademark and all. That would be fun! I have a 3 blade "chrome" prop on mine. Were talking scale! Doc

LOL! Doc, I am not creative like you are and have zero artistic skills. I'm good at copying things but horrible at envisioning schemes. Good at detailing though once I have someone do a basic design. I'd love to have one that looked like this one....

I'd like to paint mine a nice deep red and use black detailing. How about Alaskair? I used to get paid to come up with names like this and then design the trade mark. Ah, the good old days. May they never return! Doc

Nice job, looked like you been flying it for a long time and not a maiden flight. Nice scenery and I really liked the last landing close to the shore
