Thanks for the heads up on the motor but the Admiral GP5 4220-770kV Brushless Motor would be my first choice and then the TACON 32. I personally haven't had great luck with Hobbystar motors. But that's probably just me.

Recommended 4220 770kv motors still out of stock. Wondering if I shoukld just drop some eflite .32 or the TACON 32 motors into it. Any thoughts?

A introduction of the house brand Nexa sounds like a great path. All great stuff coming from you all at Motion RC. Thank you!

As for the P-51 props, I wonder if the new Eflite 1.5m P-51 props would work? When I was researching building one a while back, the spinner on the 1450mm P-51 was too small and the 1700mm too big. The new one might be close to a match.. Also, the retracts/struts being included is definitely a welcome upgrade!
I hear ya on that DD. Looks like another modding source..........I wanna get my hands on those struts from the 1500 P-47's for use on my CZ T-28

The model I flew didn't have counter-rotating props, and it flew fine, despite my expectation it would be squirrely.

As for scale 4-blade props, this bird's scale is roughly 1/7.5. The FMS 1700mm P-51's props are about 1/7.8 scale, so... mathematically they'd be the closest I can think of. To be safe I'd probably run the 1450mm's props out of concern for ground clearance. Neither size's propset is counter-rotating, though, but at least they'd look closer than 2Bs.

We have a few special things planned for this segment of the Nexa brand. Nexa houses multiple factories (the OV-10 is from Black Horse, for example), and our approach is different. For starters, our Nexa birds come pre-upgraded with electric retracts as suspension struts for applicable models. As for molding specific four-blade counter-rotating props for this one bird, though, that's not in the cards. Yet.

What we've done with many of our factory partners will continue here. Let us know what you want to see, and we'll drive the feedback to the factory directly and see if/where/what can be done without breaking the system.

Very interesting!! Looks like a rebranded version of the VQ warbirds F-82. Will be keeping an eye on this one. I know it’s a sport scale model, but I’d love to cut one apart to scale it out a bit. Shorten the outer wing panels, add the fuselage extension, etc. I know it’s a long shot, but an chance there will be some appropriately sized counter-rotating 4 blade props sold to accompany it? Trying to figure that out has always been a difficult issue for this model.

    Nexa F-82 Twin Mustang 2100mm (82.6") Wingspan - ARF
Click image for larger version Name:	2.jpg Views:	18 Size:	52.1 KB ID:	253572

The North American F-82 Twin Mustang was the last American piston-engine fighter ordered into production by the United States Air Force. Initially based on the P-51 Mustang but ultimately very unique, the F-82 was originally designed as a long-range escort fighter in World War II; however, the war ended well before the first production units were operational.

We are proud to announce Nexa, Motion RC's in-house Balsa-specific brand that will showcase customer-favorites and new, never-before-seen models in various balsa formats and a wide range of sizes and price points.

The Nexa F-82 Twin Mustang is a .50 size electric scale series warbird with a 2100mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and fully covered. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes a three piece wing design with aluminum wing joiners, flaps, large battery hatch in both fuselages, painted pilot and pre-hinged and installed control surfaces. A rarity in the hobby, this model would be the talk of any RC airfield.
    Fully Covered and Detailed

The Nexa F-82 Twin Mustang comes fully covered in the US Air Force WWII livery "Betty Jo" complete with weathering, panel lines and rivet detail.

Betty Jo flew non-stop from Hawaii to New York, securing her place in history by the longest distance ever flown non-stop by a prop-driven fighterplane.
    Scale Details Throughout

There is no shortage of scale details with this F-82 Twin Mustang including two painted pilots, and operational flaps.
    Two Large Hatches

Large hatches in both fuselages allow for lots of space for any battery and electronic requirements.
Three Piece Wing For Easy Transportation

The Nexa F-82 comes with a three piece wing and wing joiners for easy transportation.
    FEATURES:
    • US Airforce WWII "Betty Jo" livery that shows brilliantly in the skies
    • Complete Balsa and lite-ply construction for rigidity and durability
    • Three piece wing with aluminum wing joiners for easy transport
    • Functional flaps for shorter takeoffs and slower landings
    • Covered from tip to tail in scale details including two painted pilots and nicely detailed cockpit
    • Fiberglass cowling for strength and durability
    • All control surfaces come out of the box pre-hinged and installed for convenience
    • Large battery hatches in both fuselages allows for your chosen electric setup
    INCLUDES:
    • Nexa F-82 Twin Mustang 2100mm (82.6") Wingspan - ARF
    • Wheels, wheel covers
    • Electric retracts and struts
    • Hardware and decals
    REQUIRES:Customer Note
Nexa ARF models are constructed out of balsa wood and plywood. These are not foam models. The assembly of balsa wood ARF aircraft requires basic model building skills including the installation of servos, ESC, and motor (or gas engine).
