Thanx Gman.............Just a beautiful sight on the ground and air, forgot about the reversing pitch prop stopping capability.
It was the best unimproved strip operations aircraft ever flown by the military.

Now to have a nice   :ov10 :Win: & just keep watching the :Clock:for the :Stars: to lift the :Not-Talking: order on it's arrival :)

Would be really cool to see a release of the OV-10 paired with the release of a C-7 Caribou as the unimproved field kings of Vietnam! Now if Motion could get their hands into Helis and give us a nice PNP scale Huey, that would complete the whole 9 yards for a Vietnam collection:).

Good article DD. I remember reading an article about the AD-1 Skyraider and the USAF wanted to put them back in production during Vietnam because it was the best plane for the mission at hand and they were wearing ALL they had out. They were calling for 1000 units but McDonnell Douglas wanted too much money to go back into production which I find hard to believe for that many units.
I guess this is why you don't see very many Skyraiders on the civilian market as they used them all up during Vietnam. We will see the same thing with the A-10 which is a 40 year old airframe but is still the best plane for the mission it's designed to do.

I want a super scale OV10. I want it to be big. I have an unbuilt Rich Urivich balsa kit, which is a great flyer, having witnessed your OV-10 CB, you greasing touch and go after touch and go at nefi! Unfortunately the Urivich design got the canopy shape wrong, and my eyes are always drawn to it! I wish someone had a scale canopy for it, and sponsons too.
A big Flite Line Bronco would be a great seller. They could offer a OV-10D nose, a nacelle for the German target tug OV-10B(Z) for the J85-GE-4 turbojet! All the weapons! Working spoilers!:Drooling:

I still say 1600mm now is the way to go. Keep the twin motor plane parts uniform
