Thanks OV10 on the repair tip. I keep hearing everyone talking about the gorilla glue white. I have been looking everywhere it is sold for the white. Here in Fayetteville NC about everyone sells gorilla glue. Homedepot lowes all the craft shops but ive not seen the white. Just the original. Dose the white expand as much as the original.
By the way that hawk attack was something. Have you had anymore trouble flying in that area since. Ee have a few in the area at the field but the only bird attacks we've had came from ground nesting killdee.
Thanks again and ill go out looking for the white gorilla glue.

Hey Ov10 i finally found the white gorilla glue. There was only 2 bottles left when i found it. A small one and a slightly larger one. Snagged both. Well got around to finding some syringes to go to work with. By any chance do you know of an affordable source for precision glue application syringes. Anyhow i used one to inject water into the cracks and then another to inject the gorilla glue. Boy the wing feels solid as a rock now. Thanks for the tip on the injection method. I feel it will hold up alot better than thin ca or medium ca. I did use a little to help hold the crack during the clamping time. Thanks again for the tip. Now a little touch up paint and im good to go. After i get a few more flights on this bird ill change the livery to something else. Not real partial to the green and white as others have commented. It does fly exceptionally though on the days i was not fighting alot of wind. Im going to try to post the photos of the breaks after injection. Click image for larger version

          Dewey,
Here's what I'm using to inject the Gorilla. Just pushes onto the nozzle tip of the Gorilla bottle and I tape it to ensure it stays in place whilst applying squeeze pressure.

Explore the site for the different gauges/lengths and brands.

The white Gorilla cures in an hour versus 2 with the amber but no difference in expansion between the two to answer your question I missed a week ago on post#21
While the hawks were still there in the nest I made sure finally approach was well away after they downed the SeaFury. No more issues with the hawks once the youngins left the nest.

Better than Foam Tac in certain cases if you don't want a flexible joint. I have and use Foam-Tac too !!!
Even when I do custom hardwood furniture I don't limit myself to just one type of adhesive/fastner, every joint has different torque and sheer stresses which may/maynot require that it require flexibility ;)

Foam-Tac is very flexible even long after it has cured, I agree on using several types of glue but on foam you can't beat it.

                  Thanks Ov10
I check the site out better. I stared out using insuilin needle and it took 5 to do one side. Later i improvised a different tip i had with the same barrel with the tip bored out. Your right about needing the gorilla glue in this application. You definitely dont want this to be a flexable repair. The wing is good and solid now.

After reading that Horizon was going to discontinue the Corsair, I found the local Hobbytown had one, so ran down and grabbed it. I wished I wouldn't have waited. What an awesome flyer, put 3 flights on it today. I could have flown it alot more but darkness set in. Already ordered decals for Pappy Boyington's ride from Callie Graphics.

Remember they discontinued the P-51 and brought it right back with a new paint scheme and "4S power" I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

I put three batteries through the Corsair this morning and I can confirm she is much faster with the 13X6 and the 65A ESC. The first flight I took it easy and only did a couple of full throttle passes, the battery and prop hub were barely even warm. The second and third flights I flew mostly full throttle and the batteries and prop hub wasn't any warmer than with the stock setup, I'm very pleased with this setup.

Which prop is that? I'd like to do that to mine.

I have both, the main difference I see is the size. I like the Eflight one better because it’s a bit bigger. Both fly really nice.

I did the maiden on Friday on those 2200mah 4s Roaring Tops and wasn't happy with them. Sold them and decided to get me some Zippy 40c 2700mah and what a big difference. Way better Lipo then those RTs.
Did 4 flights Sun . Such a great flyer

She is an older bird but still an excellent flying plane. Decided to dust her off and do a in-depth flight review guys considering a good second warbird the E-Flite Corsair make flying easy and fun with AS3X keeping her rock solid. Never liked the factory paint job and after a small mishap I changed the paint job. I only fly it on 4s honestly all the 1.2 birds should have been 4s out of the box upgrade the esc to a 50 amp and fly both 3s and 4s no problem.
