  • Blackhawk PC-9 NOT ENOUGH POWER

I bought the blackhorse PC9 from Motion RC and bought it with the recommended bundle. The plane weighs 9.9 pounds. I'm using a 6s 5200 battery.

Motor is an admiral 6320kv and 120amp esc., from ZTW.
prop 16 x 10 this is what they recommended

Max wattage I can get is 625 watts on a 97% battery.

Tried a 17 x 12 prop and my wattage went down to 505 watts max
    ESC is setup correctly.

tried 8s setup and only get 707 watts

    Any help would be appreciated.

I believe their set up should be a 8S set up not 6S. If you want 6S you will need a much higher kV motor but the best thing would be to add a 2S in series for 8S.

BTW the numbers you have are wrong, it would be Admiral GP20 6320-295Kv Brushless Motor...

Interesting your Wattage went down with a bigger prop???

Thank you for that I tried to edit my submission to correct the motor number but luck. Yes it is a 6320 motor

            Hello

            1. did you calibrated throttle into ESC???

            2. maybe LIPO is not performing???

            some info: 8S lipo fully charged is 8 x4.2V = 33.6V but there is some lost so 8 x 4V =32 V
Motor is 295Kv so ideal RPM of prop = 9440, so that should work!
in your case you are not getting max power, so there is something else going wrong in your setup!

It's something big that's not right. He should be pulling 2300+ Watts. Really he needs a experienced set of eyes to look at his whole set up. The batteries, connections, the series connector, how the Wattmeter is hooked up, programing, ESC calibration, etc...

Also, make sure that the 2 to 1 EC5 adapter is a "series" and not a "parallel".
