I Live in the UK and purchased one of these beautiful Yak's in April this year. I decided on an electric set up with a Dualsky GA6000.9 160kv motor on 12s driving a Falcon 25x10 scale prop.
As usual with Black horse models a fantastic kit and went together very easily. Upgraded the pilot to a Russian 1/4 scale 'WarbirdPilot" and changed the wheels to nice aluminium scale wheels with bearings. Again being Black Horse, she flies on rails, looks fantastic in the air and the sound of the prop.....just like the real thing. Landing and taking off no problem. With both half and full flap no elevator adjustment required. Would throughly recommend.

Looking good congrats man.. ! I ordered one too and she will arrive around 8 januari...
i already bought an UMS 100 5 cilinder as powerplant. I already knew that she flies fine and lands good, theres a video on youtube from modellbau-steber.de with a Saito Fg90r3. I contacted this guy (shop owner) from that video.. she will be stripped and glassed... is it true that she is fully sheeted?
wish you many happy landings !

Nice one! That motor should sound beautiful. Yes the aircraft is fully sheeted, not sure you really need to glass. Keep me updated on how you get on and post some pictures. Regards Andrew
