When reviewing the assembly manual, I discovered a huge disconnect between the product pages recommended equipment and the manuals recommendation on the electric motor.

      Manual recommendation on pg 6:
      Motor: Admiral GP2 3520-950kV

      Above product page recommendation:
      Motor: Admiral GP20 6320-295kV

The assembly manual is obviously wrong and needs to be corrected.

I would also second guess whether the 10x40mm engine mount spacer tubes referenced on pgs 22-24 is correct based on the considerable physical size difference of the referenced motors.
Does this also affect the 95mm spacing of the cowl firewall to the front of the motor ??

Aros I know you'll get to the bottom this inaccuracy and get it resolved.

      Best regards,

MotionRC link for the assembly manual is for a 1750mm (68.90inch) wingspan HE111.......not for this 2500mm (98.4inch) bird

Yep gents, keen eye. We had some confusion with the versions we carry. Never fear, we will rectify the issue!

That ADF antenna just looks out of place on a WWII vintage He 111. I would leave it off.

I am flying 5 BH model ARF's and have to say .....compared to some other ARF's the fitment and overall scale is excellent. "Some" other brands will see gaps, warps, and usually alot of small aggravating issues that have to be wittled or drilled or heated to get a better fit. I try to stay with BlackHorse models when ever I get the urge to acquire another giant.

This one may be in my fleet soon

Still assembling the 98” HE 111. Some tips. The specs call out for 19” propellers. Physically too big. 18”maximum.
also, when installing the gear doors the instruction procedure is totally backwards. It should be as follows: place the lower portion of nacelle into place but don’t fasten it. Install the gear doors. Adjust the nacelle to line up with the doors in the closed position. Now you can fasten the nacelle to the wing. Last thing to install is the cowl.

Good info Mizerans, thanks. And welcome to Hobby Squawk!
Please continue to share more about your build on this bird.

                  It's on my short list.

For anyone that has this bird... I'm looking for some dimensions. What is the measurement form the front of the spinner directly back to the trailing edge. And the length of the wing panel from wing root to the wing tip. Wanting to find out if they will fit into a large set of wing bags I already have. Thanks

                          Hi,

Can anyone confirm the CG? I am confused a bit here. The manual off the large one shows the same than the small (1750 mm wingspan). At least mine does.

With 130mm I will have to put around 1.5kg weight in the nose.

                          Kind regards

                          Mike

                            Hi Guys
I have loved the 111 since first watching the Battle of Britain movie. I am so excited to get this ARF in my shop. I had often thought of building one myself but this is scratching my itch very well. I am going electric and have been putting small amounts of spare time into it for a while now.

This will be my 1st Giant scale Electric project So there is a big learning curve Going on for me. Order set of props from Vario And they are also a learning curve But worth the effort.

I will post pictures occasionally of my progress and hope you enjoy

The cg for the smaller Blackhorse 111 is also listing 130mm in the manual and the same number is in the big one. The big one also comes with a cg sling that puts the ch at about 175 mm from the leading edge.

mine with the GP26 motors and 4 5s 6000 packs balances just about right on the sling. I may move the ESCs as far forward as possible in the nacelles.

Three batteries fit side by side with room for #4 on top of them.

I found the original firewalls to flex under load from the motors so I doubled them up and recessed the mount to get better spinner clearance.
