    B-24 Liberator Olive Drab 2800mm (110.2") Wingspan - ARF from Nexa - NXA1036-001

The Consolidated B-24 Liberator is an American heavy bomber, designed by Consolidated Aircraft of San Diego, California. At its inception, the B-24 was a modern design featuring a highly efficient shoulder-mounted, high aspect ratio Davis wing. The wing gave the Liberator a high cruise speed, long range and the ability to carry a heavy bomb load. Early RAF Liberators were the first aircraft to cross the Atlantic Ocean as a matter of routine. In comparison with its contemporaries, the B-24 was relatively difficult to fly and had poor low-speed performance; it also had a lower ceiling and was less robust than the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. While aircrews tended to prefer the B-17, General Staff favored the B-24 and procured it in huge numbers for a wide variety of roles. At approximately 18,500 units – including 8,685 manufactured by Ford Motor Company – it holds records as the world's most produced bomber, heavy bomber, multi-engine aircraft, and American military aircraft in history.

The Nexa B-24 Liberator is a .40 size electric or gas option scale series warbird with a 2800mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered with a fuel-resistant covering. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes fully functional fowler flaps, painted pilots, machine guns, dummy bombs and other scale details. The large battery hatch affords ample room for either electric or gas setups. To complete the scale appeal of this B-24, the model includes electric retracts and scale struts. Impress at your flying field with this iconic stunner!

Awesome! Will silver/aluminum colored fuse be an option?

Have been wanting this for a while…decided to part it together. Just need the tail section and right wing. Everything else is had. Will be adding the Saito FA-40a as recommended. I do have some pre-surpass OS FS-40, but think the Saito 40 will provide better power. Thinking the wankels would be good in cowl choice too. Cannot wait to see more of these B-24 in the air!

If the retracts are not available what's the use of buying it.

Either Saito FA40a or OS FS40s will be the heart of it!

Is there anyway that I can just purchase the lower ball turret plastic cover? Would be nice if you could just buy turret parts only not having to buy the whole fuselage. Lost mine while flying.

                      Thanks,
                      Steven

Try emailing VQ Warbirds themselves, you can easily find their details. I've found them very responsive.

The mains are large. My only concern would be the front nose gear door.

Other than that I do not see a reason why it would not be grass capable.

Bombs and release points attached on the B-24! Almost there!

One more engine, two more cowls, a few more servos for the bomb release, clean up wiring, and balance.
