I traded for an LX 1600 Corsair and like all LX planes I've seen the cosmetics are great but the hardware is junk. I've ordered a set of FMS 1700mm Corsair retracts, struts and wheels, I changed out all the servos and used a FW-190 retract to operate the tail wheel retraction. Once I get the mains converted I'm going to repaint it and do it as VMF 214/86.

Nice work! The retract mounts certainly won't be going anywhere and the markings look great. However, the piece you connected to the aileron is technically part of the 3-panel flap system on the full scale aircraft. Did you do it just to increase max roll rate?Comment

Hi Tirediron, I've been looking for exactly this paint colour for my 1600mm Flightline Corsair. You refer to the colour as Rustoleum Satin Navy Blue. Coudl you send me a photo of the product so I can track it down? It's obviously EPO foam friendly and that's what I need. Would be very grateful fro your help?Comment

Hey that's great! Thanks very much. Were you able to spray directly over the top of the original paint or did you need to prime it or something first? I just want to make sure it doesn't damage the EPO foam. Thanks very much for your help.
