Thanks fellas, I hope to have her in hands sometime in April. I don't think there's much left to do. Paint the invasion stripes and calibrating/testing electronics/motor, etc...

Now the REAL question: Will she fit in my fiancé's 2024 Honda Civic hatchback?

Spoke with my builder buddy today. He said I can expect it to be done in around mid-month. What's left to do is working on the tail section, some wiring, binding to the radio, etc. Final stretch!

Last time I slept on a couch I had honestly answered her question, "Is that new?"

                          Just a quick update:

Without going into too much detail, Blondie has exchanged hands to a different builder. Apparently the original builder was out of his element so he handed it over to someone with more build experience for these giant ARFs. I've been in near daily contact with the new builder and he has been utterly fantastic. He sends me updates via video almost daily. A lot more needed to be done than I knew about. ESC mounting, tailwheel assembly, rudder, etc...All that is left is programming in my new iX20 radio and gear doors.

Looks like I will be picking her up sometime in May.

Looks like this weekend is the magic weekend I pick her up. I am thrilled with the work the new builder put in to make her nearly ready to go. Just ailerons and flaps programming is the final steps. Everything else is done. Here’s some screen caps of the video he sent me today. This thing is beautiful!

Picked her up today! By golly she FIT! And oh man is she pretty in person, and trust me when I say, pictures don't do her justice as far as size. She's massive in person! I am so thrilled with the job he did. I had him pose with the plane. I would have broke the camera, lol!

Thanks ausie! Love me some Red Tails although technically this isn't a true "Tuskegee" Red Tail sadly. I think I will modify the livery and pilot to make a true Tuskegee Airmen Red Tail!
