Thanks Lauren I will check that out.
The maiden was a success...Has nice stock power and boy she can crawl. I added the slats...I need to adjust my flap/elevator trim, boy she pitched up something fierce. I need to figure out those water rudders...I can't get them centered...I will replace the stock wires with my own for sure.
Nice scale looks, lights are really nice...Just need to fine tune her and she should make for a nice float plane!

I have to agree with you. It flies ok, but to be honest.. for my style of flying I prefer my Flyzone Beaver. I contacted HH but haven't heard back from them. Sounds like mine is the 1st or 2nd one to do this. Glad mine was just taking off when it came loose and not 100ft up.Originally posted by Pheonix View PostI ordered the BNF and it was not what I expected in terms of quality. I have to admit, i did not order from Motion by Horizon. I am not sure this would have made a difference though in the quality. I decided to keep it and fix it myself. Too bad the quality is not what it use to be.

Boy, that's the second time I've heard of this from an E flite airplane. The other one was a video of the Prometheus, where the motor just came loose. Strange, but that should be a warranty issue I would think.Originally posted by Iowa54 View PostGot a problem with my Timber.......... Had the whole motor pull out of the fuselage..

Well I could not get my AS3X to work correctly (it was always backwards no matter how many times I would rebind) and since I don't have a programming cable for it I just swapped it out with a regular 6CH rx and it flies fantastic now. Love slowing it down with the slats and flaps for a pin-point landing. Fun plane and I like the ooomph it has when you need it.My YouTube RC videos:

The BNF version comes with the AR636A AS3X Sport Receiver...I'll get a programming cable and try it in something else...My YouTube RC videos:

So, it's not like my E Flite Spitfire. You can't reprogram the Ar636 in it apparently. Too bad because I have a perfectly good one from the first Spitfire that I guess I
can't use.

BTW, the little graph thing under my name in my icon is starting to turn red, what's the significance of that?Team Gross!

I was wondering about the bar graph also. As it fills is that good or count down to expiration. LolOriginally posted by Grossman56 View PostSo, it's not like my E Flite Spitfire. Maybe, I've been over two thousand for a while now and this just showed up.
In the background I'm hearing Europe playing,
"It's the Final Countdown!"
If you hover over it, you guys's says,"is on a distinguished road"
Mine says, "will become famous soon enough"
Go figure.
Sorry guys, I'm going off topic.

Took the Timber up in 20+mph winds yesterday. Flew 2, 2200 packs and it actually did pretty well . Both landing went fine except #2 . Gust of wind flipped it before I could get to it. No damage done. Had to keep the throttle around 75% heading into the wind to make any headway. The day before flying with Lon I tried some 1800 packs and they did ok. CG was fine Don't think I would use them in a strong wind though....
