I have talked to the guys at VQ warbirds and they say the A-26 will be back in stock soon. They are already showing some parts for it. This is the next twin I want. JB Hobbies carried them and I didn't get one before they closed shop. Talking with the owner about the kit he said .32 size motors would be perfect along with using a 4s system. Good luck on finishing the plane. I'll be watching to see if you can figure out what struts to use. Hobbyking has quite a variety so keep us posted.

Subscribed. Twin 32's seem like a good choice. AUW? As I recall it was around 10-12#. So maybe twin 46's if they will fit? If I get one I think I will take a look at 5S or 6S setup.
Anxious to see your build.

When I spoke to JB hobbies, I asked about using twin 46s since I had two of them. He said that would be overkill and the ones he had seen fly all used the 32s on 4 cell setup. He was selling them at the time and had seen the setup. He said it will be fast enough with that setup. VQ models are heavy by design since they are built to be gas or electric. Hopefully you got all the parts including the motor mounts which are really long screws and a firewall which make the adjustment of motors easier.

I'm been doing a little work on the A-26, I'm using the 37-48-600KV motors and 60A ESCs but the LX B-25 props are too big so I used the props and adapters from my FL Tigercat (I converted it to the LX B-25 props) and just cut the prop ends off flat which is scale.
I got to use these Futaba servos I've had laying around, I hope it with get off the ground with all that weight :)
I'm going to use a set of the FL Tigercat struts and retracts which should fit great.

I started to tear all of that out and use more modern servos and linkage but I decided to just use what I had, shouldn't be near as heavy as the B-25 even with the large servos and hardware.Originally posted by Prowler901 View PostNice work. I forgot how big those full size servos are. They'll have no problem moving those control surfaces. That's for sure. :)

Yes, I changed the TC over to the LX B-25 props (I used two standard rotation) a while back...looks and works great.Originally posted by Grossman56 View PostLooking good TI,if I read it right, you put the LX B-25 props on the Tigercat and are using the Tigercat props with the tips shaved on the A-26?

Here are the TC props on the A-26 cowls, I used fake radials from the HK 1875mm B-17
I used a top turret from the LX-25 as well, BH had a sell on spares a while back and stocked up.
