Spec450, outstanding job with the repaint! I also crossed the Corsair off my list because of the paint scheme. My favorite scheme has always been the tri-color, which is why I keep my UMX 1S Corsair. With your work repainting the Corsair, I may have to add this one back to my future list along with some paint.

It flies so good, its really worth buying. Maybe not for the $269 price tag though. Just a little high. I got it on sale at my LHS for 199 luckily. With a little paint and Callie Graphics you can make it whatever you want!Originally posted by BRGT350 View PostSpec450, outstanding job with the repaint! Well I put the 13" prop on it from unique hobbies and bumped up the ESC and ran 4S. Melted down the motor and part of the mounts. Any idea on what motor upgrade would work best???Current Fleet: Flightline Tigercat, Flightline Bearcat, Eflite Corsair, ESM Skyraider, Pilot RC Yak-54 30%:corsair

You melted the motor because you increased the voltage without going to a smaller prop. The original prop is 10.5x8 so going to the 13x6 would have been ok if you had stayed with the 3S battery. You should always use a watt meter to get a baseline on the stock equipment then check the modifications that you do to make sure you are not exceeding the motors specs..Originally posted by spec450 View PostWell I put the 13" prop on it from unique hobbies and bumped up the ESC and ran 4S. Great job! Well done!
Regarding the kit, it few great, but I found it had really poor ground handling.
As for the battery, I flew it quite a bit with a 4 cell 2200mAh pack. The ESC took it fine and it gave it more power. Used the stock prop, although it looks a little small on this plane.
Also, really would appreciate it if eFlite made their planes more scale. No wheel well doors and a fixed tail wheel are just not cool on just a nice flying plane.
Wish we could mix FMS' scale appearance with the quality and flyability of eFlite. That would make the perfect plane.
Great job again!

I bumped it up to Eflite power46 and the thing flat out screams now. Still flies slow and scale great but then has a huge boost the top of the throttle when you want it.Originally posted by crazy8s View Post
