The new Bancroft Discovery is the perfect combination of portability and performance. At 655mm in length, the model is sized for convenient transportation, yet extremely capable as a competitor in globally recognized 65cm monohull competition regattas, making it an ideal model for competition or simply as a great way to enjoy a beautiful lakeside day complete with a gentle breeze.
The plastic composite hull arrives factory-painted and decorated, while the carbon mast and booms mimic the current competition trends. Strong, tear-resistant sails feature a hi-vis trim scheme to aid in the detection of wind behavior and direction, while the aluminum keel with zinc-alloy ballast delivers the ideal weight balance for precise maneuvering. A metal-geared rudder (steering) servo and drum-style sail winch arrive factory installed and ready for use. Final assembly and rigging are fast and simple, with the addition of 8 AA alkaline batteries (four in the transmitter and four in the receiver) you’ll be on the water in no time!
