Visiting Gen Patton's tank training camp

We like to visit the old training camps Gen Patton used to train the troops for WW2, with some occasional surprises in the desert, many of the old sites still contain the tank staging areas, target ranges ( I've got a bag of 50-cal shells and slugs n ammo belts) and armor company insignias laid out in rock mosaics...we have even recently visited an old B-24 training base..!

This is darn impressive, Fastphil! I'd love to run around a place like that for a few hours. I'd fill two memory cards with reference photos then go picking through the dirt for spent casings.

Out visiting some old armor resting grounds in SW Arizona, including an old Combat Engineer Tank, and a Sherman that recieved some small arms fire....
