I'm guessing these metal upgrade paths are from HL and not third party. Also assuming Motion RC may carry all or part of this line at some point?

Beeg , great video. I had no idea. Might have to forego a new aircraft for one of these. Very cool. Any clue on cost? I'm thinking T-90 in winter dress-out. Best, LB"I am having an extraordinary ordinary life."~Lucky B*st*rd~

No idea, just found that video researching something else on the web. I suspect these high end upgrades are not cheap. Maybe $500-$700 just for the upgrades parts and over $1,000 for a complete tank. Alpha posted a quick view of the new transmissions that I gather will be offered by MRC sometime this year. No idea how much just these will be but with bearings and steel gears just these will be worth the upgrading. I'm guessing they have CNC-A,-B,-C, etc. and all parts in between to acquire when your pocket book allows. I'm still trying to get my head around why a 2ft long model can cost as much. But, when you're dealing with a sub-niche in the RC world it shouldn't be surprising. Have you checked the prices of none RC, scale 1/16 plastic tanks? Tamiya static plastic model "kits" run $500+ that just sit there.

The metal lower hulls have been around for a little while. Not to popular in the states because of the high cost. For the completed price of one these metal hull HL tank, folks just go straight to Tamiya which offer far more detailing and options in their RC tank kits.
I have seen only one (Abrams hull) and the guy who owns it never seems to wants to run it.
A note on the video. Mostly nothing new just reused footage from old YouTube videos that have been around for years. Many of the tanks shown do not even have metal hulls.
I do Hope Motion brings in the metal hulls at a more affordable price then they have been in the past. Safer to deal with Motion RC paying $500-$600 then to a small “off shore” company and hoping everything goes right, then waiting a month to see what you finally get and hoping there are no other issues with the product. UGGGG been through that one to many times!!!

Guys, there's lots of information about the metal chassis setup in my thread, here:
https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc...brams-pro-plus
There are of course other metal chassis we're evaluating, but as Rubicon intimated, there are many concerns on the manufacturer side we need to resolve before we bring a product onto the website. The nature of these specialty shops complicates things, but I like simplifying "complicated". If it can be done, we'll get it done. In the meantime, the best way anyone can support our effort is to post their interest and spread the word so we can better gauge the scope of this category-within-a-niche-category.Live Q&A every Tuesday and Friday at 9pm EST on my Twitch Livestream
