I know Tamiya has a 1/16 scale RC M551 Sheridan. As much as I would love to have one and as cool as it is, it's a bit expensive for my taste.

It would be fun to convert the M41 into it's AA version (M42) but sure would be nice if we could talk Heng Long into fine tuning it's dimensions. I think having a good accurate "Base" chassis for certain armor would lend themselves to many mods.

I had no idea the Israelis did so many "Magach" series of tank mods.

That Magach 7C is a cool mash-up of old and new..

But to do a version of the cool IDF variants we need a base M60 to build from. I would love to also work up an M60 in the USMC Desert Storm theme with all the “add on armor” panels.

The M60 has a huge customization potential being it has been in service so long with many different countries and been upgraded countless time to meet emerging threats.

I'm still learning about tanks but from what I've gathered so far on the "Patton" series of tanks is that the M60 chassis is a modified M48 chassis with an extra strut on #1 and #6? If you had an M60 chassis could it easily be made into an M48?
