  • Replacing gears in a gearbox

Mate of mine has stripped a gear in his gearbox. He has seen he can buy the individual gears and wants me to help him. My question is how hard is it to do and do you need special tools. I told him to buy a new gearbox but he can't afford it.

Super easy to remove a gearbox and swap out a gear(s). Just make sure that when your friends buys the new gear it has the “gear shaft” already installed.

Thanks for that. I like easy. He sent me the price and I see why he is going down this path. Steel gears are pretty damn cheap
