  • Upgrading Sherman tank

I was reading about the differences between the upgrade and professional level and tanks. If I understand correctly the only difference between the two is the drive sprockets, wheels and track. So, if I purchased the upgraded edition the only thing I need to upgrade to the professional is the metal upgrade kit(sprockets, wheels and tracks). I am hoping that I do not have to upgrade. But time will tell. I want to run my tank around the campground and in my backyard.

Please tell me if I am correct about the differenced between upgrade and professional?

Can anyone tell me how well the upgraded edition will run on campground roads and other areas on a typical campground?

How hard is it to perform the upgrade kit (sprockets, wheel and tracks) on the Sherman?

Yes, you have the differences correct. The good part is that it is very easy to replace or upgrade as necessary.
As to how long the plastic tracks, sprocket, idler and road wheels will last I don't know.

On some but not all Pro model tanks there is also cannon barrel recoil.
Your Upgrade model Sherman should do fine on the typical hard dirt ,sand and gravel of a campground. They don't like very tall grass however.
