Does anybody know if an older Heng Long T-34 can be upgraded to 6.0 configuration by replacing the main board with a 6.0 board, and using a 6.0 transmitter to run it, and if not, why not ? Seems like you could just plug the motors and other functional items in to the new board in the proper locations.

Yes it is a relatively easy swap over but you will need to change a few plugs and splice a few wires.Originally posted by Cascabel View PostDoes anybody know if an older Heng Long T-34 can be upgraded to 6.0 configuration by replacing the main board with a 6.0 board, and using a 6.0 transmitter to run it, and if not, why not ? I found a set of wires on ebay that may be what is needed for the conversion. Do you have further info on how to do it ? Other folks may be interested in upgrading their tanks to the newer system, so complete instructions might be helpful for people that are new at upgrading.Originally posted by Rubicon99 View Post

Just follow the wiring schematic in the 6.0 manual posted here on this sight in numerous locations. It is super easy to follow.Originally posted by Cascabel View Post

I wish someone in the US would release an upgrade kit like forgebear has. I have 2 RF board HL’s with pricey asiatam hulls on them that desperately need upgrading.

While searching for upgrade parts, I found some main boards listed as 6.0S, and some listed as 6.1. What does the "S" indicate, and what is the difference between 6.0 and 6.1 boards, and is there an even better choice ? The seller's descriptions leave a bit to be desired with the "language barriers".Originally posted by Rubicon99 View Post

Here's a quick reference for the Heng Long Manufacturers numbers. When I'm searching for parts more often than not they list the Mfg.# for parts compatibility and I was always having to look them up. Also included are the various gearboxes and their compatibility and whether they can fit Red motors, Taigen Black (HL Blue discontinued) motors or both.

Excellent info !!! Perhaps the admins can make this and the main board info a permanent "sticky" at the top of the tank home page. Stuff like this is very helpful !!! I printed both to keep on hand as permanent files.Originally posted by Beeg View PostHere's a quick reference for the Heng Long Manufacturers numbers.
