  • Trying to identify loose piece in Heng Long KV1 upgrade model

Hi everybody! This is my first post, and i wanted to reach out to the experts for help. I just bought my first Heng Long (KV1 upgrade edition). I love it, everything works well, but it rattled as if an airport bb was rolling around inside of it. So i took it apart and found a little black 'cap'? underneath the main board. It doesnt look like it has broken of of anything as it is not jagged, but there might be glue on the end like it came off of something. Maybe its just a foreign object that didn't belong in there anyway. Wanted to see if you guys/gals might look at the attached pic and see if anybody recognizes it. Thanks for taking a look Tankers!

Z Harshman Is it plastic? I don't recall seeing anything like that when I opened up my HL KV-1. If you don't see a matching pair somewhere inside the tank (a standoff of some sort, perhaps?), and there aren't any signs of breakage, and as you said the tank functions completely normal so the part isn't critical to actual drivetrain/electronic function, then I would guess it's just an errant part.

Here's a photo of the inside of my Leopard, larger than the KV-1's interior but essentially all the same components. I don't see anything resembling the part you're showing:

Could it be part of an airsoft piston? If yours is working, then I'd say it extra debris. I have a HL M26 that arrived with several pieces of odd plastic rattling around inside, like someone scraped the workbench into the lower hull, then sealed it up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer and for your advice and suggestions! I'm obviously a novice (and slightly ocd), so the thought of something out of place in my new tank bummed me out. I feel better about it now, it sounds like it could potentially just be a foreign body. This looks like a pretty awesome forum, and I'm happy to be a part of it. Got my eye on some new models already, when Motion re-stocks :D

Don’t worry about it. That is not a piece / part from your tank. It most likely ended up inside your tank during the assembly process by some unknown reason. But again it is not part of you tank.
