Tank maintenance checks are is done and moving on to charging all the batteries. It’s getting close to the start of battling.....
This will be the first large scale battle for a number of new tanks I added to the fleet since Jan 2020. Can’t wait to see how they perform on the HUGR San Diego field.

Everyone coming please remember to bring your masks. We are on park property and there are rangers about who will want to enforce the state mandate.
We want to comply regardless of your personal feelings and desires because we need to stay on the good side of the park guys or they will shut us down and we cant loose the best battlefield this hobby /sport has ever seen.RC tank parts and accessories I make

Just got word the battle day has grown even bigger. The LA Tank club is coming down with a number of their members and bring a bunch more tanks.
Weather looks like it will be partly cloudy and in the mid 70s. A perfect weather forecast for IR battling.
Here are four of the seven tank I will be bring, these are “loaner” tanks for Sunday’s battle. So even if you don’t have a battle ready tank come by anyways we will get you into the fight.

I don't have any tank yet due to the production shortage, but I made it down there today to watch and talk to folks. It was good to meet several people, although with the masks I'm not sure I would recognize anyone in the future. But anyway, thanks for the explanations and information!

Here are just a few photos from the the battle day. We got off to a slow and rough start do to some unforeseen events and time spent catching up on life and talking about all our new tanks.
I the turn out was smaller then expected, but we still had 15 people throughout the entire day show up. It was almost like two different events. The morning group and then afternoon groups.
I wanted to thank those members of Hobbysquawk that came out and joined in. It was truly a pleasure putting faces to the screen names so to speak. I hope you enjoyed yourself.
The battles were more easy going and centered around learning vs being competitive which allowed for more laughs and friendly banter.
Here are just a few photo from the day. Those HS members that attended please feel free to add any photos you might have taken too.
Some long range shooting.

That is a fully 3D printed British “Scorpion” light reconnaissance tank.Originally posted by Beeg View Post
Whats the tank facing off against "Nikki II" ?
It is available as a down load or can be purchased printed. It does not come with any electronics.
The owner has two of them and they are really neat tanks. Super fast and easy to hide.
