  • Sherman barrel replacement

    Hello!
I'm brand new to this hobby and I of course have a question lol.
I recently bought the 1/16 sherman and my plan is to upgrade the barrel to make a British firefly. I see that a company, Mato, makes a barrel that supposedly fits the heng long. But how do you take the barrel off? Am I missing something obvious? I'm just afraid to break her.

You will have to remove the turret and take it apart to access the breach and gun barrel. Once you have the turret apart its super easy from there. Not to say that the hole process isn’t easy it is.

Remove the barrel/mantle and breach assembly from the turret. There are two silver or black screws on each side of the forward breach. These attach the mantle to the breach. Remove them and the mantle and barrel should pull free. Once removed the barrel will slide out easily.

          They look similar to this.
