King Tiger track not staying in place on the idlers

Idlers wheel with bearing (pic) that from Taobao shop ,I can buy direct from China. And I found a bit difference from ebay.

I'm not sure it come with bearing or not. If it 's not have bearing. OK, you have to made by yourself. With bearing size 4x6x2 mm 5 bearing per wheel like my pics. M4 screw(I'm forgot how long for King Tiger) and 2 washers as a pic.

My JagPanther did a the same thing.It kinda looks duck footer but it runs ok. I like the HennTec idler axles. I'll buy those when I can afford too.

It can work good for Tiger 1 and King Tiger. Product in Tiger 1 Mato parts.

Also check to see if the groove in the road wheels is aligned properly with the idler groove.

I don't have a pic but I think it was about a 60 degree angle and I took about 1/16" off each side.
A lathe would be perfect for the job.

My King Tiger did the same thing. I took a file and changed the outer part of the groove in the middle of the idler into a vee shape to keep the guide teeth from walking out of the groove.
I think someone sells upgraded idlers that are made with a vee groove also.

Hmmmm......That sounds interestng !! Do you have any pictures showing how much of a vee shape you did ? I might be able to do it easily on my lathe.....

The track on both sides of my King Tiger will not stay in place properly on the idlers. It sort of "walks" outboard to where it wears on the fenders. It does not de-track completely, but the guide teeth on the tracks are not staying in the groove of the idlers after running for a while, allowing the track to move too far outboard. I can get the track back in place, but I would like a permanent fix for this problem so that it does not keep happening. Anybody got any ideas ?
