  • How easy is to upgrade to 6.1 system?

I have yet to see a HL tank offering with 6.1 board but the board is available on EB. Thinking of upgrade one to see the difference. Since the 2 boards are very identical according to the manual, is it easy to upgrade like switching out the boards? Dai

You will see no difference in overall handling and performance. The 6.1 will only be “better” IF you use true servo elevation and servo recoil modifications.

The next model up the 6.1S does allow for high amp motors to be used and it is rated up to a 20 amp draw per motor which means far less heating issues and max power being delivered to the motors.

There are a few other features in the 6.1S To utilize them you will need a cross drive transmission type set up.

Battle system is the same. It still lacks full Tamiya protocols.

It is that simple but all you get is what you have now unless you upgrade a lot of parts.
