    Best kind of glue....

Does anybody know what kind of glue Heng Long uses on their tanks ? I am trying to repair a damaged hull, and I cannot find anything that strongly adheres to the plastic that Heng long uses. Everything I have tried will not stay stuck for very long, but whatever Heng Long uses to attach some of the parts has a very strong bond, and stays stuck.

Any good “styrene” or plastic model glue will work.
I’ve used MEK on my tanks when I needed a good “weld” as MEK dissolves polystyrene readily. As with any highly toxic chemicals take the necessary precautions.
If want your joint to be held by the glue itself instead of a base material weld you can use CA, epoxy or white glue which will only be as strong as the glue itself.

...as with any plastic model make sure to wash bare plastic parts (warm, not hot water and dish soap) to remove mold release agents or if painted scrape off paint to get bare plastic-plastic contact.

Plasti-weld is good. Ive yet to try Weld-on #3 or 4. One of the things with HL tanks is theres a holy crap ton of paint you need to remove to get to the actual plastic in order to get a good bond.
