  • Multiple RC Conrollers - Why??

    HI Friends,

I have 15 Heng Long Tanks and one Torro. I just ordered a Taigen tonight because I cannot control myself when it comes to having these wonderful and beautiful tanks. My question is: 1) Have son many tanks the by product is I have that many handheld controllers. A little while ago I had a controller arrive DOA. So... I found out how to quickly re-bind with the tank. I frankly forgot which tanks handheld I used. I do have several grandsons and we enjoy multiple tank battles often. But....How many handheld tank rc controllers do I need. The most we ever had running in one battle was 6. Do I need to keep active more controllers than we will use in a tank battle? When I found out how easy it was to bind a controller to a different tank I ask my self if it would be easier just to re-bind rather to keep so many individual handhelds hanging around. Thoughts? 2) Related to the first (kinda) I have kept all the different tanks individual handhelds kept on a shelf all with batteries RTR. Should I keep batteries stored in the controller if I probably not use it very often. Some tanks I use more than others. I take my heavily modified KV1 out almost weekly where as I have really only played with my 5.3 M26 the day I pulled it out of the box. Thoughts? 3) Like the AAA's I have kept the 7.4V batteries charged up and stored in the bellies of my babies RTR. How would be the best way to keep the 7.4Vs? I'm starting to think maybe I should just keep a box with a bunch of AAA's enough for a half dozen handheld controllers and only a half dozen or so 7.4s
charged and ready to go. I do have 4 of the Admiral 7.4 7000 and a couple of Admiral 3500 kicking around. I could keep them RTR and not worry about the rest. Thought??

I have 9 tanks and use 3 controllers; 3 on each with labels showing what they go to. Saves on batteries. I chose which tanks are on which controllers based on which might be battling each other. I haven't had to replace any batteries in 6 months, I guess when they're off they don't pull any current and when on they aren't very powerful and pull minimal current.

I do leave my LiIon's in their tanks if I plan to run them every few days. Lazy.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!
