    Yes and No.

    If you are not having issues with de-tracking leave them alone.

    If you are having issues with de-tracking then remove one link on each side.

    I removed one link on each side but did so because I drive my KV really hard and in very rough terrain. It would tend to slightly de-track at the sprockets in tight turns. It would always re-track on its own, but removing one link stop all. It still retains the classic sloppy KV track look too.
