I was asked to post this for the San Diego tank club. The next IR battle day is March 14th. The theme is Tan vs Green. This is one of the lead up battles for the HUGE “Desert Armor Clash” battle being planned for early summer.
Any era of tank is welcome and will be assigned either to the Tan or Green team depending on overall color of the tank and or its camouflage regardless of country of original.
I have been told a few new parameters of operation will be being implemented for those using HL 6.0 to 7.0 control systems.
First, HL tank are highly encouraged to use a LegoDEI or other quality aftermarket IR receiver. The stock IR receiver has proven unsatisfactory for IR battling, if a stock IR receiver is all you have, you are still welcome, BUT hard engagement limits will be placed on your tank.
Second, all 6.0 to 7.0 HL tank systems must operate on their low power setting. This is to keep a more even playing field with tanks using the Tamiya weight and damage protocols.
Third, all 6.0 to 7.0 HL tanks regardless of their size are asked to only fire one shot every 6 seconds. That means count to 6 and you can fire again. Why 6 and not 4 or 5? Because not everyone counts at the same rate especially under stress, usually it’s to fast....I am guilty of this myself LOL.
If you have any questions or need clarification on any of the parameters above please feel free to ask. Otherwise I look forward to seeing you there and having a fun day.
Oh I almost forgot, I will have a few loaner tanks available for those that might want to just stop by for a short time and give driving a tank a try.
Tan....”Come join the fight and help us stop the Green”.
Green....”Don’t let the Tan win and turn us all monotone”
