  • IT'S HERE!!!!

It's here!!! OMGOMGOMG!!! I'm too old and grumpy to be this happy!!! *insert giddy man-child noises...

And the worst bit... now I've gotta wait for the battery to charge...
And a question; can you charge the Admiral 3500mAh battery from MotionRC with the Heng Long charger that came with the tank? I've ordered a balanced charger but slow post is sloooow...

I don't trust them. They kill more batteries than they charge. Why not just use the battery that came with it till your new charger arrives? No sense messing up a good battery. We got one of their Abraham's in at the shop and the battery was DOA I just used a NiCad to check operation. We're still waiting on IMEX to replace that bad pack.

Thanks for the insight. Pretty much figured the same thing, hence why I got me another charger. Luckily for free, from a mate who has quit the hobby and got rid of everything except for a charger he forgot hehad. But dammit... that would mean patience... and only running the Sherman for one battery load... and then more patience while it recharges! And I am seriously lacking patience, used up all of mine when I was younger. Oh well, with a bit of luck my fancy charger should turn up before the weekend.

          But still... patience... *sigh*

            Well, small update...

THIS THING IS SOOOO MUCH FUN IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!

Ran for almost an hour before it stopped working (That's not too bad, innit?) on the stock battery.

Demo for the kids on pavement and gravel, and then ran it around the lawn for a bit and my workbench afterwards looked like a salad bar exploded. Did a shooting match with the neighbours (the Sherman Vs. their airsoft Glock.) The Sherman packs a bigger punch. Then told my neighbours son he should pester his dad until he got one... Preferably a Tiger so I could hunt him...

Now looking around the interwebs for upgrades (duh, ofcourse you gotta upgrade) and nice weathering stuff. No stranger to weathering and stuff, I do a lot of static modelling. Seen some nice stuff and already have some ideas for practical upgraded. One of them a way to "fuel' the smoker more easily. Probably something like a refueling line from one of the excisting caps. Also been thinking about getting the Mato Metal engine grills (https://www.matotoys.com/prodview.ph...6&cid=&search=) Anyone ever install these?
