IR Battle apple

I would like to paint my Tamiya apple to match my tank. What do I need to watch out for during the painting process beyond masking the LEDs.

Be sure to mask the sensors so they still work, more important than the leds actually.

Unscrew the top screws and take it apart. Remove the clear lense and electronics and screw it back together and paint it then put it back together

I did all my by hand. Didn’t take them apart just painted as is. But if you are using an airbrush best to take it apart as stated above.

First one is not mine.
