Sure I would and I have for a young lady.

Being historically accurate has its place and time but having fun just building whatever is often more fun. There is no one correct way to enjoy this hobby. The beauty of the LA, SD and even PHX clubs are their openness to all types and themes of tanks. Heck one member even has an R2D2 themed Panzer he uses often, another has a Tank Girl themed tank and then there is our Space tank guy that brings his 3D printed future tanks. As long as all the tanks comply with the battle field IR requirements ALL are welcome.

FYI: A seller on eBay, "koleso884" is selling a conversion kit for the Heng Long KV-1 into a KV-85. Looks like it includes some major alterations to the hull as well as dedicated turret moldings. Expensive, but unique. Note: I can't buy from him because he banned me after I left a "neutral" review for some defective features on a T-34/76 turret I bought from him. Vengeful, so caveat emptor. Looks good, though.

The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

He follows me on IG. I like his kits but really hesitate to buy from Russia even through Ebay. Just to many bad experiences with past shipping and follow up questions = language barrier kind of things.

IMO the price is moderate for a turret that large with machined turned barrel. Some of the European turret kits of similar size cost twice as much. A Leopard 1 turret alone will set a person back $350
