    HL Challenger II paint closely matched

    For anyone who bought the Challenger II with the metal road wheels. I found that mixing a little white to the Tamiya Khaki XF-49, it came nearly matched the HL factory color. I sprayed a wash over the wheels since they are near the ground so they are slightly darker in the picture.

    Why not just repaint the entire tank in the correct British “modern” Desert Sand because the HL color is completely wrong for the Challenger.

    I repainted mine in the correct color and it looks far more British....

        I think most of these RTR's are painted "close enough" in the general shade by the factories, case in point, HL's Abrams is off, and so is the Taigen/Torro M4 we both have.
