  • Idler wheels

    Hi all
Should metal idlers wheels have bearings in them?

I have some without and was going to oil them, or should I get some with bearings all ready in them?

Not sure on the bearings but most here say not to oil them as it will just attract dirt.

They should have at least a brass bushing and by all means oil them if so, it is better for the brass bushing vs running them dry. I have been oiling mine for years and run them in the worst of dirt, sand and mud (see my Instagram for proof @ Fsttanks) with NO negative effect. Wet and dirty is better then dry and dirty for under load moving parts such as the idlers (with brass bushing).

Ok, thanks, I think I'll spring for some with bearings.
