  • Strange thing is happening

So I have 3 Henglong tanks all with 6.0 MFU's. Most all have new motor upgrades etc, with the help of the fine experts in here. One of my Tanks, the Abrams is doing something strange. The right joystick is not behaving as it should. Factory should be: RIGHT STICK-Stick up-Foward travel. Stick down-Reverse travel. Stick right-right turn. Stick left-left turn. You know the drill. This movement is the same with all thanks with the exception of the Abrams. Reading through various RC forums on this issue, it was suggested that the motors power wires (not polarity) needs to be swapped over-IE: Change the channel. I did that...did not fix the issue. The next suggestion was to swap the polarity on the motors-Did that. Did not fix the issue. I tried every combination of swapping Channels & Polarity to no avail. Because I have 3 identical remotes, I only use one which is pared to all 3 tanks. I treid pairing a different remote-Problem persists. This is where things really get strange-I have a backup brand new 6.0 MFU.....I put that in, problem does not go away.

Is there some other JST connection or wiring configuration I may have screwed up that could alter the factory controls? I have also tried the "Hold the G button down while pushig down the left stick" trick. All that does is move things over from right to left stick, but it still acts in the exact same manner. Pushing up or down makes the tank turn, pushing left & right, makes the tank move forward or backward.

I have tried everythng that I know of by process of elimination to find the cause of this issue, no luck. Im positive I'm overlooking something simple but am dumbfounded. I'm clumsy as hell when driving this tank as it acts totatly different then any other. Its my favorite tank, but not fun anymore.

Any expert help would be most appreciated as Always...

Check to make sure you are not in the alternative TX stick mode aka Tamiya mode. It is easy to accidentally switch modes via the TX. Doing so sets the tank MFU to the new mode and no matter what TX you use the tank will stay in Tamiya mode until switching back to standard via the TX.

Thanx my freind. I will reaserch how to do that..!!

Hmm...cant find any instructions on how exaclty to do that. Please read my post-I even swapped out a brand new MFU, and the problem is still present.....and a brand new Transmitter.......and the problem is still present. As far as Tamiya is concerened, the only thing I can find is the "Hold the G button down, while pushing the left control stick down...which works, but doesnt cure the left to right, forward & reverse movement. Even that is screwed up, as pushing the stick LEFT makes the tank move forward. Ccounter intuitive to the max.
