  • looking for real nice HL static tanks

    the rc tanks didnt work out for me but they do look real nice. anyone know where i can get a few static tanks? ToucanHobby is NOT an option, i need quality.

    I don't understand, you want Heng Long but not from Toucan? Toucan is the distributor for HL and their customer service is excellent. Another reseller is MotionRC and they just got an order in but their offerings are very limited (no specifically static versions) compared to Toucan and again they are a reseller.

      Static tanks are quite "boring". I had as many as 20 1/16 static tanks. I converted almost all of them to RCs. If you want a metal tank with recoil barrel feature, get the Tiger I, M4 or Leopard from Toro at Motion RC. They are quite detailed with better quality. Then you can put it on the shelf to display too.

        The Toro panther F is nice. And the IS-2 is awesome. It can easily be easily opened.

          Search for "Trumpeter 1/16".
          The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!
