  • On the fence on what to with my TIGER 1!

    Well After thinking I finally had fixed my Taigen tiger 1 I noticed the road wheel mounts where broken along with me having bought the wrong Idealer\Sprocket set & The HL gearbox I got I suspect also won't work........... So Im basically on the fence if I should even try to fix this thing or if im better off buying a new Tiger...... I have the following parts left

    Mato Metal Recoil Ir Turret (IT fits at least...)
    7 year Old upper taigen hull (Just needs a dusting and should work fine)
    7 year Old Lower Taigen hull that really needs some work (Im just going to replace it and maybe use the old one for a sturmtiger down the road)
    Metal Taigen Early Tracks
    7 year old Clark control board
    Upgraded Speaker
    Smoker

    I mean most of a tank is there but by the time I add on metal parts to the lower I think its cheaper just to buy a newer one, I was looking at these options as I can use my existing parts with them

    Option 1
    ==========
    Mato Metal TIger 1 top
    Mato metal Tiger 1 Hull
    Mato metal gearbox v3
    Mato Metal Road wheels
    Mato Metal Idealer\Sprocket set
    Mato Metal Tracks
    Mato Metal Turret
    360 turret ring

    Total:534.08 Shipped

    Option 2 Taigen
    ===============
    Taigen Early Tiger I Metal Wheels
    Taigen Tiger I Metal Hull with 4:1 TG 270 Gearboxes
    Taigen Tiger I 1:16 Scale RC Tank Upper Deck
    Small Aluminum Turret Ring with Bearings for Heng Long 1:16 Scale RC Tank
    Taigen Tiger I Metal Sprockets & Idlers Early Version

    Total:330.32 Shipped

    Any opinions would be great as I really just want a well running tiger 1! (Leaning towards the taigen parts, but for the cost...I might be able to just buy a used one and put my parts on it lol)

    Is there a static Tiger 1 on ebay that will help this project? My thoughts are buy a new one and upgrade with existing parts.
