  • San Diego Tank Battle, July 2022

Starting a thread for all of us who took photos and videos to share...

Of four tanks I took to the meet, three required maintenance afterwards. We run them hard!

And my apologies to those battling my "invincible" Abrams. A connector on the IR Receiver circuit backed out....honest!
Twenty six tanks, and not done yet!

Here are some of my pictures. I had a great time roaming my tanks in full speeds.

Nice. Hopefully the Merkava didn't break any more parts...

My first lesson learned in battling at the SD battle field; not to get my barrel into the branches too far. Or I should add stronger magnets next time :-)

I sure did have a great time. It was fun scoring a hit at the opponent tank over 100 feet away. It was also nice to run the tank at top speed; seeing the soft sand flying out from the tracks at the rear of my tank.

About as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.

Another lesson I learned from fighting in SD; it was such a vast battle field and the SD club allowed players to drive the tanks at full speed. I did not glue all the accessories on my tanks. So when something dropped out of the tank from the fast driving, there was no way to find it. I lost the MG on my Challenger that way :-(.
In LA battle field, there is still a 75% of parts being recovered as other members would spot the dropped out item.
