  • Tank hatch interior colors

What color did the American, German, Russian or British armor of WW II paint the interior sides of their hatch covers? Would a interior dull gray be appropriate or should the inside hatch cover be painted to match the exterior color?

Historically, there are no doubt countless different precedents for different vehicles. Practically speaking, I would be interested in any opinions from some of the rc tankers here, Thank, in advance,

German interiors were an ivory type color, US white. But I too have wondered what color the hatches were, since they'd be seen when opened.
Twenty six tanks, and not done yet!

I can only imagine if the wjite star was painted over, why leave a big white hatch. As I look at WWII pics i don't see any visible hatches. I paint mine a similar tank color.
