Mato MA - 1020 controller/transmitter question

Is there an "alignment" when moving forward on the controller? I ask because the TC left track moves at a much slower rpm. WHEN it's moving! There is a lack of gear engagement on that side initially. Once engaged the rpm's are noticeably slower AND the upper gear shaft has "wobble."
