    New to RC tanks

I am considering getting into RC tanks. I have been doing some research on it and found that the Heng Long tanks are the most reasonably priced. How accurately detailed are they? I am lokking for an M1 Abrams to repaint to look like the tank that I had in Germany in the mid 90's. However, my tank was an M1A1

Pretty easy to do a M1A1 because the HL version is an early A2 with the Commanders Thermal Site and A2 hatch. The thermal site can be left off the tank and A1 hatch’s & M2 mount can be found as aftermarket parts online. HL has an option for the NATO paint scheme which is ok if you weather it, but a fresh repaint would be easy.

Overall the HL is not a bad representation with minor tweaks to make it an A1.

Ok cool. I would probably repaint it anyway. I managed to find a 1/16th scale mine plow for it. Since my tank was the plow tank
