New heng long tanks

I've bought my all metal T90 from Motion...metal tracks, road wheels, sprockets, suspension arms, and idlers. Looks like they only carry certain ones with all metal stuff. All the modern stuff seems to have the metal road wheels. A lot of the WW2 ones don't have the metal road wheels with bearings.

Thanx Milspec. The Jeep looks very promising. If it was in 1/16 I would already have it in my cart, still might though.
Tank, the only problem with Motion is they never carry the all metal versions of HL (the only versions I will buy). They have outstanding customer service, great shipping no doubt but...............

The latest email on the "excuse" for the sudden price hike:

I know it's not a tank or even 1/16 scale but it's still RC military and pretty damn cool and I thought I'd pass it along. I bought one when they were $250 and bought another one because of the price.

Agree Bob. The games they play is what chaps my A$$. As soon as someone shows an interest, they jack the price. As Im sure your aware, on Fleabay they have a dozen different sellers all under one roof who advertise the exact same item, shipped from the exact same place all with different prices & shipping charges. Who do they think they are kidding? I hate playing games when it comes to doing business.

I have more time than money, thats for sure. Besides a 1/16 Losi no prep drag car is calling my name too. I'll answer that call instead.

It's the total cost that matters, whether it's $500 shipping included, or $350 plus $150 shipping. The sting of a high total price for a new item will fade quickly enough, and you'll have had the tank you want for all that extra time. At least, that's what I tell myself!

I'm not paying $538 "that includes shipping"...but I bet many people will. I guess I'll wait till the rush is over and things calm down. Sad thing is they wont respond to emails until 4am my time, when I stay up late enough for well into start of business day China time. Will see, who knows. This itch is deep and needs scratching in the worst way.

Once again, I will negotiate a deal through FB messenger so Toucan can avoid the eBay fees thus getting a better deal. Having bought several Tanks from Toucan through eBay and directly from China (not Cranbury NJ), I have never paid more than $39 in shipping. I wont this time either.

You can find better deals from established Toucan seller on e-bay. The scenario is changing on a daily basis. I find no one shipping from North America yet.

It is quite reasonable for air shipping from China to US if you want it now. In particular, they charge the same shipping for the heavier PRO version. But I will wait for Toucan to have stock in NJ too.

It sounds like air flight shipping cost from China. Once Toucan Hobby have it stocked in NJ, shipping should be much cheaper. I paid $115 shipped for a "simple Sherman" to one of the Toucan sellers. I cannot be more happy with the quality of the plastic tank. After I added a $70 Heng Xin gearbox and $120 in Mato track and driving gears, both the appearance and driving quality are excellent.

The Merkava is a bigger tank. Depending on how many other improvements HL makes in addition to the torsion bar suspension, the $280 may be a good price. HL's weak points are their heavy metal track and rough metal casting.

Motion is very slow at getting new tank models in stock. Could be up to six months before we see them at Motion.
