Are these the bearings you are referring to?

Hi all, have recently bought some bearings for my HL Abrams. The Abrams appears to already have a moulded drive shaft support as part of the plastic lower hull. I read somewhere that i should only need to press fit the bearing in place. Is this correct?

I also wanted some opinions on whether it is best to fit the bearing with the drive shaft in place (i.e. gearbox installed, sliding the bearing over the drive shaft) or without the gearbox (i.e. i’d fit the bearing to the hull, then put the gearbox and drive shaft into the tank afterwards)?

It looks like on one side the drive shaft looks pretty central in the hole. On the other, it looks off to one side. I am concerned about getting a good alignment.

Many thanks for any tips and suggestions!!

I left the gear box in when I did mine. Super easy to do.
