  • Texas Armor Association Battle Day Thread

I'm just starting an ongoing battle thread. Looks like they will be the 2nd or 3rd weekend of the month, but I will do my best to keep this thread updated as I get info on locations and times.

We have our next battle Saturday March 18th between 10AM and 2PM at:

    Performance RC Hobby
3609 Business Center Dr. Suite 116
    Pearland ,TX 77584

It will be indoor weather will not be a factor.

Doesn't look like I can make this one. Have way too much studying to do for my Project+ cert.

Not as yet. With all the cold and rainy weather a date hasn't been set. I can post once they do.

I've been bad about posting battle days here in Texas. We just had our last one for the year. Battles will start up again after the holidays in Jan '25. As I was removing batteries and getting the tanks ready to be put away as I'll just be concentrating on building over the winter, I had to take a few pics of the battle ready ones.

For as much as I badmouth the RC Kootai M1128 MGS, it's been a great runner so far. I've had it out to two battle days after repairing the suspension mount that has been broken since I got it. Everyone at the battle days seems to like the vehicle - probably because it's the only wheeled vehicle giving/taking hits.

          Anyway...that's all for now.

"'I've been bad about posting battle days here in Texas." Glad to hear you've been battling. Please post your upcoming battle. I will have to dig out a tank and check if any of my batteries are still good!

Late notice as the day has changed several times, but we are having a battle day this Saturday on the 22nd in Nolanville, TX. The directions are a little screwy as Google doesn't seem to know how to get there very well, but I can provide GPS coordinates for those that are wanting to show up.

                            Battle Day announcement for April:

We are coordinating to do the next battle day at the National Mounted Warrior Museum on Fort Cavazos (Hood). Should be on April 19th (it's a Saturday as they are not open on Sundays). The museum is outside of the base so no special passes are required, but we were told if you exercising your Constitutional Carry right that it needs to be left in your car.

Yeah, tryin' to get better at posting these events. I wish someone from the club had land in the area to host a permanent battlefield like we had, but it is what it is at this point.
