  • Halftrack power supply

Im looking for suggestions for battery packs for the Torro halftrack. The battery Torro sells is never in stock and there arent any available on Amazon or Ebay. Torro calls for a 9.6v battery. The halftrack also uses a JST connector. Is it safe to simply change the connector from whatever over to a JST? I see on Amazon you can buy several JST connectors for under $10.

I run 7.2 nimh batterys in my halftracks. They are plenty fast. Now, I have highly modified the bodies and so I use a full size tank battery in one inside. the other I have a mini battery I had made on batteryspace.com. Yes you can change the plugs and do anything you want if you take the half track apart. Remove all the screws and gently remove the pintle hitch at the rear by wiggling it slowly and pulling it out. If you break it or want to change it to a working one I had battleground models on shapeways design a working pintle that slides right in then you can tow trailers or howitzers.
