  • Heng Long sound card beep

My 2nd bad Heng Long tank, any one ever had a "beep" noise from their sound card? I actually ordered the Jagdpanther tank but received the Panther Type G, I was just going to keep it bcuz I would have bought it later on until I ran into this issue. Here is a link to a video. https://youtube.com/@justaguyman1515

Never heard that one before. Definitely a board glitch! Hope you can get another board.

Where are you buying your tanks from? Motion and Toucan are good with after purchase support.
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

I watched your video related to the Panther G.

I have the same sound for both my HL Panther G and Jagdpanther. I'd call it a "whine" not a "beep" It doesn't effect performance for me so far. I don't notice it when volume is turned up one step from off or when I'm outside running either model.

I hear this sound from both models when only inputting minimal throttle from the point of motionless to very slow crawl scale movement. The "whine" is more noticeable on carpet. I get the Exact same sound on both models in exactly the same way and situations. I get a different "Whine" sound from my King Tiger and Taigen Tiger I. I haven't checked my other tanks but I'd expect similar. I don't think it's the sound card, I think its due to resistance related to the electric motors.

Hopefully someone can explain it more technically.

Both tanks are from Motion RC, the King Tiger is going back as soon as I receive their return label, the Panther I actually just received today, looks like that one will be going bad as well. The Panther beep sound is similar to that of a construction truck backing up is as close as I can get, it is heard over the loudest setting on the tank volume.

Hello Mr Chef, I'd have to say that it is the sound card, I know the whining sound you are referring to I believe from the gears? This noise is coming from the sound card itself and is constant, I tried changing the sound effects but it is there every time. Thank you for all the help so far, these tank issues are taking all the fun out of this new hobby.

OK well that's completely different then. Yes my whine goes away as soon as either or any of my tanks get rolling and it is Not louder than the lowest volume setting.

That sucks. At least its with Motion, they have been good for many of us myself included. I hope you can resolve your issues and rejoin the hobby soon.

Yes Motion RC has a return label coming in the mail for the King Tiger "I have no printer" so that one is getting sent back. On the Panther Type G I wish that I would have left the box closed and sent it back for the original Jagdpanther that I had originally ordered. I was trying to take the accessory box out of the Panther box and it felt kinds weird, like a sponge, once I got it out of the Styrofoam I noticed that the smoke fluid bottle was all but empty. I believe that the Styrofoam and the accessory box absorbed the liquid as there was none found otherwise and the bottle was trapped between the two in a slot. My Stug lll from Motion RC did pass their 2 minute test tho:)
