Just a question for the tech experts here, I'm looking at transferring the 6.0 systym from my wrecked t90 to the m551 Sheridan I'm printing, I want to use the ir systym but not the bb function, do I need to transfer the whole firing mechanism or can I just use the ir by itself

you can just use the ir but you will need to short-out port CN 6 on the mainboard. IR will not fire till the BB system travels all the way back and closes the micro switch on the rear of the gun. this switch triggering is what plays the main gun sound and fires the IR emitter but, shorting it will have everything happen the moment you hit button A and B.
on V7.0 you can just turn off the BB system from the controller and you wont need to do any of this. -

Possibly? I mean cut the wires and twist them together so the board thinks the switch is being pressed the moment you press the A and B button to fire the main gun.Comment
