  • A "little" diversion

Saw this FMS 1/18 scale 6X6 in a Motion RC email, at a good price so I took a chance. I know this is a tank forum and there is another forum for trucks, but I'm staying here! I repainted it and found a stake bed add-on.

Unfortunately, their 1/18 way too off from HL's 1/16 tanks:

However, it's a fun runner, a nice change of pace from tank tracks!

Twenty six tanks, and not done yet!

Taigen carries a metal driveline version of the cheap wpl m35 duce. I have one. And print files to build a 1/16 scale cckw from it. Maybe something we should work on.
Ive also got a few wc56 body kits for the two axle trucks laying around here somewhere.
RC tank parts and accessories I make

A while ago I got a JJRC truck from Taigen, but they sent me a 4x4 version instead of the 6x6. I added a transmission that drives it slower and there is sound, but I always wanted a 6x6 truck.

Recently, AAF museum was in the process of closing and had a "goodbye" sale for the M35 trucks at 50% off. I bought these two and I am quite happy with them.

I personally think the WPL B16 most resembles an M939 5-ton because of the tires. The older M35 used the old combat tires.

I think it is the Soviet-made Gaz-66. It is a Taigen product.

Taigen just resells the WPL and JJRC kits in our scale. They don't actually make it. You can order any of them directly from WPL and find JJRC all over Ebay.

Two years ago, I had my 1:16 scale military truck diversion which turned out to be a disaster. I purchased the JRC 6 wheel drive truck from BangGood. I upgraded the RC to fully proportional drive and steering. Add all metal gearbox with 370 motor (270 originally). Add all metal drive links and foam filled tire. Higher capacity lithium battery.

The RC truck model looks good and runs well. Then, I was crashed to find out that the US Army never make a truck that looks like my RC model. The model maker took an US Army HEMTT 10-ton 8x8 truck, removed one of the axle to make the make-believe 6x6 truck. Ahhh! Well, it is a toy. They never promised a model of any real truck.
