  • Oddballs Sherman.

Alright, thinking I was being original, I decided to build the Oddball Sherman from Kelly's heroes. Imagine my surprise when I found I was late to this party. That being said I did a Kit bash on a standard HL Sherman. Had to make a few of the parts from scratch, and had a friend 3D print a few more I'm liking the results so far. I was hoping you'd see this. Yeah, I made the front fenders from a rattle can top, and the rear's from small plastic drawer dividers.

I am planning to do the same thing, but using the Taigen Sherman as my starting point. What are my options for the open spoked road wheels. Taigen uses metal ones with rubber tread from the factory, tracks are metal.

I found the open spoked ones on Ebay. I reached out to the seller to see if he's making more. The good news is you can use a couple of "Full Cover " wheels as well. I may be swapping out a couple of the spoked ones in the future. This was a fun build. Had to do a lot of leg work to make it happen, got a lot of help from "SoCal" who did a version of OddBalls Sherman as well.

Thanks Chef. I am as well. It was worth the journey to make it happen.

I have been lining up various vendors with the figures(and he can paint them for me as well) and the extra details to adorn the tank. I found one guy even did one with movie sounds added to the tank with the music from the railyard battle and the entro/final credit music being able to be played from the tank. That was way cool. Now if we could have some of Oddball's one liners added to the sound package.

                                    Sure, you only need one.

I had a retirement job for a while in an r/c airplane shop. When someone would come in saying that this would be their only airplane, we'd just giggle behind his back.
